We take pride in offering a diverse Pilates experience by incorporating a variety of Classical Pilates Apparatus into our private and group instruction.

what is pilates?

Pilates is a type of exercise that focuses on developing strength, flexibility, and control in the body through a series of movements that target the core muscles. These movements can be done on a mat, reformer, or various other apparatus.

The practice, originally called “Contrology”, was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, and it has since gained popularity as a form of exercise that can improve posture, balance, core strength, and overall physical wellbeing.

Pilates exercises involve precise and controlled movements, proper breathing, and a mind-body connection that emphasizes concentration and awareness of the body. Pilates can be adapted to suit a range of fitness levels and goals, from rehabilitation to athletic performance.
